We are delighted to share that third-year cardiology fellow Dr. Satvik Ramakrishna was one of 11 fellows chosen by the Internal Medicine intern class of 2019-2020 as the inaugural "Fellow of the Year." Dr. Ramakrishna was selected for exemplifying patience, kindness, thoughtfulness, and a commitment to education.

Below are intern quotes received about Dr. Ramakrishna during the nomination period.

"Great at teaching, is never upset with you no matter how dumb your questions are or if you make a mistake.”

"Relatable, kind. When he talks to me, I feel like we are colleagues. Somehow, he eliminates the power differential, and we talk about our patients shared like we are on the same team."

"Incredible teacher, willing to sit down with you to help you understand cards magic."

"He once offered to shave a patient’s chest with me to facilitate getting a ziopatch on before discharge at the VA during COVID when all the EKG techs went home at noon. What more can an intern ask."

Dr. Ramakrishna is currently serving as co-Chief Cardiology Fellow and does an incredible job leading Cardiology Grand Rounds for the 2020 - 2021cycle.

Congratulations, Satvik!
