Sammy Elmariah, MD

Dr. Elmariah is UCSF Associate Professor and Chief of Interventional Cardiology. He specializes in caring for patients with heart valve disease, coronary artery disease, and adult congenital heart disease. He has particular interest and renowned expertise in transcatheter heart valve procedures including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), edge-to-edge mitral valve repair (MitraClip and TEER), mitral valve replacement (TMVR), and the use of investigational devices for repair and replacement of the tricuspid valve. Dr. Elmariah's research focuses on the prediction and optimization of clinical outcomes of patients with aortic stenosis and after transcatheter aortic valve replacement.
