Dr. Samuel Sobol is a cardiologist at UCSF Medical Center specializing in general adult cardiology. He has particular interest in valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, hypertension, palpitations and arrhythmias, preventative cardiology and chest pain syndromes.

Sobol earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. He went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Boston City Hospital and Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. He also completed a fellowship in cardiology at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco. He was chief of cardiology at Letterman Army Medical Center when he retired from the army in 1987 and subsequently was director of the Cardiology Faculty Practice at UCSF until 1999.
