Dr. J. Eduardo Rame is a cardiologist at the UCSF Heart and Vascular Center
who specializes in caring for patients with cardiomyopathy, heart failure
and pulmonary hypertension as well as those who undergo heart transplants.
Rame, who is certified in cardiovascular medicine by the American Board of
Internal Medicine, has conducted research on hypertension and genetics relating
to left ventricular hypertrophy, cardiomyopathy and heart failure.
Rame earned a medical degree at Harvard Medical School and a master of philosophy
degree at Oxford University in England. He completed an internship and residency
in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center
and Parkland Memorial Hospital, both in Dallas. He was a cardiology fellow
at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and at the Cardiovascular Branch
of the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes
of Health. At the University of California, San Francisco, he is an assistant
professor of medicine.
