Dr. Kiran Kaur Khush is a cardiologist
with a special interest in the care of patients with advanced heart failure
and pulmonary hypertension. She is also a member of the UCSF heart transplant
team, and has a special interest in echocardiography. She is actively
researching the selection of donors and recipients for heart transplants.
She has lectured internationally on her research, which has been published
in numerous medical journals.
Khush earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. Subsequently,
she completed training in clinical research and is currently completing
a graduate degree in biostatistics and epidemiology at UCSF. Khush is
the recipient of numerous awards, including the Harvard Medical School
Ebert Community Service Award, UCSF Julius R. Krevans Award for Clinical
Excellence, UCSF Department of Medicine Intern of the Year Award and
American Heart Association Western States Affiliates Postdoctoral Research
Fellowship Award. Khush is also a member of the International Society
for Heart and Lung Transplantation and the American College of Cardiology. |
