The UCSF adult cardiac catheterization laboratory offers the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic catheter-based cardiac procedures. We perform right and left-heart catheterization, coronary angioplasty, percutaneous coronary intervention, alcohol septal ablation for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, aortic, mitral and pulmonic valvuloplasty, endomyocardial biopsy, percutaneous device closure of atrial septal defects and patent foramen ovale. Our physicians are expert in performing cardiac procedures via femoral or radial artery access. In addition, we perform diagnostic and therapeutic peripheral arterial procedures including angiography, angioplasty and atherectomy for peripheral arterial disease. Our physicians can be contacted to provide consulations and/or invasive procedures.
